Poseidon, in Greek religion, was the god of the sea, earthquakes and horses. He distinguishes himself from Pontus, the personification of the sea and the oldest Greek water deity. The Poseidon Marble Garden Statue was carved from natural marble. The master made clay models for the Poseidon Marble Garden Statue in our studio to ensure the details
Poseidon often sat on a cart driven by horses with bronze hoofs and golden hairs, and broke rocks with his trident. The spring flowing from the crack watered the earth and made the farmers harvest more crops. Therefore, Poseidon was also called the god of harvest. Although he had a place on Mount Olympus, he spent most of his time in a dazzling palace deep under the sea. His sacred animal, the dolphin, represented the calm of the sea and Poseidon’s kind divinity, so Poseidon’s gentle weather brought good weather.
