House Of The Vestals Statue

House of the Vestals is the place where virgins lived in ancient Rome. It is located behind the circular Aedes Vestae on the eastern edge of the Roman Forum, between Regia and Palatine Hill. The Domus publicae, where the Roman high priest Pontifex Maximus lived, was close to the house of the virgin until his role was replaced by the emperor.

The house of the vestal virgins is a three-story building with 50 rooms on the ancient Roman Forum, surrounded by an elegant courtyard and two pools. To the east is an open vaulted hall with a statue of Numa Pompilius, founder of the Roman religion. Today, the remains of the statue of the virgin can still be seen in the house of the virgin.
