The sculpture of the smoke circle of fear created by Junkyu Moto pays tribute to the American people as a gesture of world peace. The sculpture is designed to help raise visitors’ awareness of the importance of the Devil’s Tower to the more than 20 affiliated tribes.
The wind circle sculpture is made of white marble and a black base (see photo), which is 12 feet tall and impressive. The artist designed it to evoke the image of a plume of smoke emerging from the sacred pipe.
