Hercules was the greatest hero in ancient Greek mythology. The son of Zeus and Alcmene, he was born with great strength. But because of his birth, he was hated by Hera, the wife of Zeus, so he was cursed by Hera, leading him to kill his child in his madness. To atone for his SINS, he completed 12 “impossible” tasks. On the way also rescued the bound Prometheus, hidden identity to participate in Jason’s heroic expedition, and assist Jason to obtain the Golden Fleece.
The first task the king gave Hercules was to skin the lion Nemean for him. The beast lived in the great forests between the Peloponnese, Nemea and Clevona in the region of Argolis. The lion is so fierce that no human weapon can hurt him. Some say that he was the son of Typhon the giant and Echadena, a woman who was half human and half serpent; others say that he fell from the moon to the earth. Hercules set out to kill the lion. And eventually killed it. He cut the skin with his claws and finally got the lion’s skin off. Later, he sewed a suit of armor and made a new helmet out of the strange skin. He packed up the lion-skin and the weapons he had brought with him, threw the lion-skin of the great lion of Nemean over his shoulders, and set out for Thylins.
